Winkhaus Radio Contact FM.V.EO
The radio contact FM.V.EO is a battery-operated radio contact that is not visible on the closed window. The radio transmission takes place on the European harmonised frequency of 868.3 MHz.
When the magnetic contact is activated, a radio signal is sent. Even if there is no change in status, status telegrams are sent in a multi-minute cycle. The radio contact is mounted in the rebate area between the sash and frame. In combination with a magnet screwed to the sash, the opening or closing of the window can be detected. After the learning process, the signal is wirelessly transmitted to a subsequent EnOcean-compatible component or a subsequent EnOcean-compatible smart home system using EnOcean radio protocol.
A possible area of application for the sensor is heating control. In combination with suitable radiator actuators, the heating can be reduced when the window is opened, thus saving energy. Other solutions involve coupling with relays to activate or deactivate air conditioning systems or ventilation systems, for example. Monitoring the window in combination with suitable alarm devices and control panels is also possible.
