The door guard is mounted under the handle of the door in such a way that it prevents actuation and thus secures the door handle or the latch bolt. The door can only be opened if the door guard is turned to the side beforehand. It then locks into its inclined position and releases the operating path for the handle. At the same time, a loud acoustic alarm sounds. This means: the door can be opened in case of danger, but the alarm signal alerts to unauthorised use.
