The SPAX-typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexalobular drive. This shape enlarges the contact surface with our T-STAR plus, and the T-STAR plus bits fit optimally in the screw head. The best possible power transmission from screwdriver to screw through T-STAR plus enables quick work, much more efficiently than with any other drives.
The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) with its polygonal underside ("pockets") creates a recess in the wood and can therefore be sunk without the need for additional countersinking of the screw hole. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface.
